1. Question: Before you started working, what did they ask you in the job interview? How did you prepare?Answer: I didn't prepare much. I already knew the structure of the team I'd be joining, so I didn't research the company or the job scope since it's very broad. I had interned there before, behaved well during the internship, and got to know the seniors well.

For anyone preparing for a job interview, I'd recommend preparing to answer questions about your strengths and weaknesses, your grades (for example, if there's a subject where your grade was lower than usual), researching what the team you're joining actually does, researching the company, and also preparing to interview in English (multinational companies have many non-Thai seniors).

2. Question: What are working hours like?Answer: I can only answer this for a multinational company, since that's where I work. During month-end (the beginning of each month, since there's always work that comes in with a deadline), you'll stay at least 2–3 hours past normal closing time, and sometimes until 10–11 PM, depending on the team. There are also quieter periods after month-end, but again, it really depends on the team.

3. Question: Is the job stressful?Answer: For a junior, it depends a lot on the senior supervising you. If the senior is kind (for example, letting you fix mistakes without scolding you), it's not too stressful — but if the senior is strict, it can be a bit stressful.

For a senior, it gets much more stressful, because you have to oversee the juniors and pass work up to the next level of seniority. If something goes wrong — whether it was the junior's mistake or your own — you're the one who has to answer for it.

4. Question: How is overtime pay structured?Answer:

• Weekdays, after working hours: 1.5x pay

• Weekends, during working hours: 1x pay

• Weekends, after working hours: 3x pay

Some companies use a trust-based system where you can log your own OT, but if you claim too much, you'll get questioned about it. Other companies are strict about OT — you have to ask your supervisor every time before doing OT, and you're not allowed to log it yourself.

5. Question: What language do you use at work?Answer: At the multinational company, all formal communication — meetings, work discussions, everything official — is in English, since there are many foreign staff. But casual conversation is in Thai.
